Dragonvale has yet carried out another update and this time, they have come up with dragonvale bloom
dragon. Have you heard of this new dragon?Indeed, if you did not know it, the dragonvale bloom dragon has been intergrated in the dragonvale version 1.7.1 update. For now, information about this new dragon is still scanty and we will e updating this post as time passes by. However, here are some important basic information that you will need to have about the dragonvale bloom dragon:
- About Dragonvale Bloom Dragon
For one, the bloom dragon in dragonvale is available on the eleventh level and therefore should you be on the lower levels of game play, it will not do you any goodย trying to get this dragon when you are below level 11. The elements for this dragon are cold, plant and lightning and thus, the bloom dragon habitat is thus plant, cold, lighting.
The negative of the bloom dragon is metal, fire and water while the positive are plant, cold and lightning. You will need 700 gems to buy the bloom dragon while it goes for a selling price of a hundred thousand dragonvale coins.

The bloom dragon egg looks somehow like a rainbow dragon egg with its colored stripes. When the egg is hatched, you gain seven thousand XP. However, the dragon’s egg isunique in its own and can only be confused with the rainbow dragon egg.
- How to breed the bloom dragon
How do you breed the bloom dragon? There is much that has been discussed about how to breed the bloom dragon in other posts in thisย blog. However, even before we discuss more about breeding the bloom dragon, you have to know that the incubation time for the bloom dragon is 13hours.
Also, as already described, you might confuse the bloom dragon egg with that of the dragonvale rainbow dragon.
Here some combinations that other dragonvale fans have used to successfully breed the bloom dragon:

I did a Lvl 10 plant ( left) and a Lvl 10 storm (right) and I got a bloom. 1st try
Were you able to get it with the regular Breeding Cave, or did you use the Island?

I tried lvl10 Storm + lvl 10 Plant in Breeding Island and failed.
I tried lvl 10 Storm + lvl 10 Lichen in normal cave and got it in first try.
Island shouldn’t matter.

I got it with Plant & Storm first attempt ..:)
I did level 10 plant and level 10 storm and i got a 48
Hour egg first try, it was a moon dragon.
Storm + lichen I got moon on my first try on epic island
I did level 10 plant and level 10 storm got a 48 hour 3rd try
and it is a sun dragon.
I tryed 5 more times got either 5 hour or 6 hour eggs help me!
Bloom Dragon (13 hours). Plant + Storm (both level 10) , got it 1st try…. Got my 2nd Bloom , same combo, tried 6th times. (TIP: If you have enough gems you can speed it up , but you have to do it consecutively within 5 mins). You may get Moon Dragon (48 hrs) if you do it night time, Sun Dragon (48 hrs ) if you do it daytime… I got 2 Sun Dragons and 2 Moon Dragons with this combo… Goodluck
I’ve done that like 40 times and all I get is storm
Plant + storm lvl 10 got it on second try first was a storm
I did lvl 9 storm+ lvl 8 lichen and got Bloom, so they do not have to be lvl 10. Ps normal breeding cave
I ve got it on the first time with plant and storm
I can confirm grass and storm, I got a bloom dragon on both my first and second try with that combination

But the sun and moon need 4 elements… So u made a rare glitch and could even get love, clover, ect.
Rainbow needs 4 Elements, not Sun/Moon.

I did a lvl 10 plant with lvl 7 storm and got it 2nd try and my mom got a 48 hour wait time in the breeding island with cold and cactus. I used the breeding island
I got mine level 15 plant on the left and level 10 storm on the right took me two tries though and it was on the epic breeding island.
i tried every combo i can in both the island and cave,
Lvl 10 Storm and Lvl 10 Plant on EBI. Only worked with Storm on the left.

First try resulted in a cactus, but second try with same pair (Level 10 Storm x Level 7 Plant) resulted in a successful breeding! Used a normal breeding cave.

in the breeding island, both quite a few times, and neither have worked.

Me too!! I have been trying every combo that has been working for everyone else here. But again I shouldn’t be surprised, this happened with the leap year dragon and I never did get it. And yes, I am high level at 27 have all dragons except leapyear and the last few metal mixed breeds, all but newest island. Etc etc…..

I did Level 10 FLower dragon on left side the leval 10 storm dragon on right right side on the epic breeding island and I got this dragon.
Do you have to be a high level to get this? I’m a level 19 and I’ve spent more gems speeding up the failed breeding processes than I would have just buying the egg.

I tried 10 lichen & 10 storm got the bloom the first time tried again got a sun , tried again today and got another 48hr breed time
Have tried plant & storm twice, storm & lichen twice, all level 10..still no bloom!
I first used Lichen and Lightning (both level 10) in my normal breeding cave with no luck. My second try was successful with Storm and Reindeer (both level 10) in the epic breeding cave. Reindeer was a limited-time Christmas dragon that shares the same element as the Lichen. The egg has wavy layers of pastel colors.
Just sharing this so people aren’t scared of using their epic breeding cave.
I just went for a second Bloom dragon, and used Storm and Reindeer (both level 10) in the epic breeding cave and was successful on my first try.
Based on my experience, I would highly recommend using Storm and Lichen/Reindeer. In the epic breeding cave, if you have one. I am one who believes the level of a dragon does not matter in breeding, but all of my dragons are level 10, if that offers any help.
I bred a level eight plant dragon with a level seven storm and got a Bloom on the first try in the breeding cave. :3 I was a level 12 when I bred it, so I don’t think level really matters.

I did it with lvl 10 cactus and lvl 10 storm. It’s worked twice in a row for me in the normal breeding cave.
I just put storm and flower in the ebi both lvl ten storm L flower R finally i have it after bout twenty times just after the word from the wizard about the bloom
Does it matter if they have been made younger in the fountain of youth because every dragon I have has been made younger. And I have so many times to get a bloom dragon, but I either get a storm, lichen, or cactus dragon.
Also, because of it I have thirteen cactus dragons.
My friend got a moon dragon from Lichen+ Lightning=Sun.
And just to make t clear 13 hour=Bloom Dragon
6 hour breed =Lichen Dragon
5 hour breed= Storm Dragon
30 minute 1 gem breed+ Cactus Dragon

I have four leap years and the moon and sun dragon and soon I am getting the rainbow I tried plant and storm and I just got a cactus I don’t know what to breed any ideas?!?
After several failures trying different combinations, I got the 13 hr breed time with a Storm x Plant. That was my first time trying that combination in that order and it worked.
i got bloom, 2 rainbows, 1 sun, 1 moon, 1 clover, and 1 panlong. i am currently level 22

The dragon on the left had looked like a baby because it had been in the fountain of youth.

I think that covers all my Rares and Limiteds. I didn’t get the Bone dragon. And so far no luck on the Bloom dragon either.

Yes you can, I have three each of the sun, moon, Panlong, and the leap year dragons, as well as the love and shamrock dragons.
Would Cactus+Cold work and at what level can you acquire EBI?

I FINALLY GOT IT WITH LOVE+STORM I’ve tried every combination you can think of I did plant+storm over 30 times no joke and the game is finally giving me good luck on my breeding success I got a panlong and now I’m getting another I have two suns one moon a panlong and another panlong coming in.
