Gemstone dragons are the latest additions to your dragon family. They don’t live in a regular habitat unlike the other dragons that earn Dragonvale Cash. Once you hatch a Gemstone dragon, you need to place it on a Dragonvale Gemstone Island. In this post, we’ll be concentrating on the different aspects of the home of the Gemstone dragons.

Here are the quick facts about the Dragonvale Gemstone Island:

• This island becomes available at level 11.
• Its total summon time is 24 hours.
• This can be bought with the regular currency of Dragonvale. It costs 400,000 Dragonvale Cash.
• In-game description of the Dragonvale Gemstone Island: “In an amazing feat of wizardry, this beautiful island hosts several habitats to house up to twelve rare gemstone dragons! Various crystalline formations were imported from the Shimmering Isles, ensuring that your gemstone dragons would feel at home. Luminous Crystals floating around the island and are known to be quite sharp, but through extensive wizard testing we’ve identified the dangerous edges and made them safe for your guests.”

The Dragonvale Gemstone Island may be a single island, but it has 4 different habitats. Each habitat can shelter three dragons. As of now, the only Gemstone dragon available is the Emerald Dragon. This dragon can be placed anywhere on the Dragonvale Gemstone Island. Therefore, you can place a total of 12 Emerald dragons on the Gemstone Island.

Players think that each habitat may represent the 4 seasons. The top habitat represents the summer season. The bottom habitat represents the winter season. The habitat on the left represents the autumn season. Finally, the habitat on the right represents the spring season.

Gemstone dragons earn gems after a specific duration. If you move the gemstone dragon from one habitat to another, the timer will reset. So do this only if you have collected the gems that the gemstone dragon produced. If you return the Emerald dragon to its original habitat, the timer will continue from where it left off.
