It’s the start of a new month, and since the arrival of the Gemstone Dragons in our favorite dragon raising game, we have seen regular updates from Backflip Studios. Last June 1, 2012, they released a new decoration called Dragonvale La Reine De Pearls. It’s actually related to the Gemstone dragon available this month—the Pearl Dragon.

Although this decoration was added with this month’s Gemstone Dragon, note that it will not help you breed the Pearl Dragon. The advantages you will get from this beautiful decoration is the same as the decorations in Dragonvale (island beautification and bonus experience).

• This was added on version 1.8.
• You can start purchasing this decoration once you’re at level 12.
• This decoration costs 10,000 Dragonvale Cash.
• The size of La Reine De Pearls is 3 x 3.
• Like other decorations, this can be sold anytime. Its selling price is 5,000 Dragonvale Cash.
• You will be rewarded with 5,000 XP points after purchasing this decoration.
• In-game description of the La Reine De Pearls: “The great swimmer, Mikael Whelps, was exploring the depths of the seas when he discovered something incredible — La Reine De Pearls. These gigantic pearls are only found within the deepest ocean abyss near the Shimmering Isles, home to magnificant pearl dragons.”

The name of the Dragonvale La Reine De Pearls is actually French. It means “The Queen Of Pearls”. If you look at the description, you will be reminded of Michael Phelps, the American swimmer and gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (in Dragonvale, he’s Mikael Whelps).
