The leap year dragon will be released in the next couple of days and will be similar to the rainbow dragon. Why is the dragonvale leap year dragon being released this year? It is because like the dragonvale love dragon, the leap year dragon is an event dragon and since this year is a leap year, we will be having a dragon that you will have only once in every four years. Four years is a long time and therefore, you better be prepared to use all means possible to get the leap year dragon when it officially hits the dragonvale gaming platform.

I got panlong with fog and lava, I’m not sure if it’s panlong and valentines though, because in the description I saw they mentioned jumping over rainbows and moons, so I thought it might be rainbow and moon dragon.
I breeder it by doing a level 8 lava on the left and level 7 fog on the right in the normal breeding cave. I know this from experience. I think it had a 15 hour breeding time and I know it has a 15 hour incubation time. VERY EXCITED!!!!

Ok, this is what I know about the leap year dragon. It is rarer then the rainbow dragon. You get 100,000 xp for hatching it, it sells for 2,500,000 dragon cash, it costs 2750 gems, and it takes 29 minutes to breed and incubate. I found this @ http://www.gameteep.net . When you go to this site it pops up with the leap year dragon.

When I breed for a quake dragon I used the right dragons in the proper order but I got a crystal dragon instead which is the same dragon types but reversed. Breeding is confusing I hope I can get this one dragon I haven’t been able to get a panlong yet and I used two different set of dragons for it!

Really? First you state that you recently bred a rainbow and that you play “every hour,” then you come back with a question like this? That seems just a little bit less than genuine.
Nevertheless, for those who don’t know, Air + Mud will give you sandstorm generally within a few tries.

The leap year dragon takes 14.5 hours to incubate not 29minutes .anyway for the people who havnt got one, i tried bluefire and crystal both level 10 cus i dont have a panlong although iv tried numerous tries anyway and im now stuck with 14.5 hour breeding time , so yeah try blue fire crystal! Guys!!! I’ve tried to breed Leap year dragon: bluefire + cristal, love + seaweed, panlong + love and storm + love. These combinations didn’t work, BUT finally –> firefly (level 11) (on the left) + seaweed (level 15) (on the right), worked for first try!!!

How long does the breeding take for the leap year??!?
After 16 tries of different combos I finally got the Leap yr dragon = storm(10. Left) + poison(right. Lv 11). It’s a good combo to try since my roommate got it that way too an hr ago. Plus if you don’t get it, breeding time is 3 hrs for poison or 5 for storm so you don’t have to use as many gems.
Been trying for Moon. Like many others, got it while trying for leap yr drg with the same combo. Good luck!!!!

Took all day to finally get one, what I did was breed level 10 seaweed on the left then level 10 firefly on the right!!!! Yes at first you will get poison swamp seaweed flower but after a while you will get the leap year dragon!!! Just don’t give up and have plenty of gems!!! You’ll know when you get the leap year dragon when you see 14hours and 30min, good luck y’all cuz u most definitely need it like I did cuz I failed to get the love dragon lmao
Lol I have 5 Leap Year Dragons!!! I bought them. I have like 50,000 gems and I can get more when I want to. Did u know that rainbow and leap year dragons can go to level 15? And moon can go to 20. But I don’t know how… The shrines didn’t work for me. I have cold lightning and plant shrines at silver. Working on the rest with panlongs!
I have two leap year dragons and my son has one. We both used lv 10 Blue fire and crystal dragons.
One leap year dragon was made on my epic breeding island and the other in the cave. They take 14 1/2 hrs or 15 gems to instantly finish.
It took a few times both times and my son tried for two days but we finally got them and you can get more than one.

Guys i just can’t breed the leap year dragon

Wuhuuu just got my second leap year dragon
If nothing worked for you, I tried breeding lava and fog about 5 times, and I got a golden egg. Also you CAN get it after leap year. Today is March 2nd, when it should have expired at March First!
I got the leap year dragon by breeding crystal+love.
I got this dragon by accident in the standard breeding cave with crystal and blazing
EVERYBODY READ THIS!!!! If u breed the flower dragon (lvl10) and the moss (lvl10) in that order u will always get the new clover dragon I have 2.
There’s a new dragon called clover!!!!!!
I just got a golden egg by chance! I bred a Love Dragon and a Blazing Dragon. First I thought, the egg (which ist completely golden) was a sun dragon egg, but obviously, it’s the leap dragon.

i accidentally got leap year with a mud and blazing both lvl 10 i was trying to get a panlong lol
Got one from breeding a blazing (L) L10 with a seaweed (R) L10
I bred flower lv10 and storm lv7

ok so i breed a cold a and scorch dragon and its taking 48 hrs to breed and i pretty sure its rainbow dragon (its still incubating not an egg yet..) but i didnt know if cold and scorch was an actual combination for rainbow dragon. lol cld someone let me know?
If its a LYD, why didnt it last all year long? Have all the rare dragons, but that one gave me a headache…….come one, bring it back…..
I got it while trying to breed a pan long. I bred blazing and mud. Got it on first try. I told my sister this and she to got it on first try.
Hey peeps, I was wondering if you can still get a LeapYear Dragon? If so, what’s the best way to breed them? I have 2 Panlongs, Sun, and 3 Moons Dragons. Also if you have already a Sun, Moon, Panlong, etc., what’s the best way to breed another one?
I got panalog on my first try with mud +blazing I now have two panalogs the second one I think I breeded lava+ crystal

Nice post. And just to be on-topic with the post, I don’t know for you girls but to me hair is really the most important factor for my look. I was trying to breed Sakura dragon so I put tree and flower in the cave and got the golden egg, since I didn’t know what dragon was (it’s still incubating) I got this link and I’m soooooooo happy
