When you start playing Dragonvale, you will be given an empty island which will soon be a paradise both for friendly and adorable dragons and visitors. To make this happen, you need to purchase your first basic dragons—that includes the Dragonvale Lightning Dragon. Do you want to know more about the Lightning Dragon? Read on.

Like the other basic dragons, you purchase the Dragonvale Lightning Dragon using coins. An egg will be given and you need to wait for it to hatch. The Lightning Dragon egg is purple in color with a blue lightning bolt in the middle of its shell. Its total incubation time is 30 minutes only. Upon hatching the Lightning Dragon egg, you will be rewarded with 5,000 XP. Its evolving levels are at level 4 and level 7. Note that the opposite element of a Lightning Dragon is Water. As a result, you cannot mate this dragon with a basic Water Dragon.

The Dragonvale Lightning Dragon will be your way to obtaining other kinds of dragons. If you mate this dragon with other dragons, it is possible to obtain hybrid dragons. In the current version of Dragonvale, there are a total of 6 hybrids that carry the Lightning element.

Habitat. Basic dragons carry only one element and the habitat is based on the element of the dragon. Therefore, the Dragonvale Lightning Dragon can only be placed on a Lightning habitat.

Cost. The Dragonvale Lightning Dragon costs 75,000 coins. This is one of the dragons you’ll be purchasing in the early stages of your Dragonvale Game. If you’ve obtained the hybrids and you want to make way for new dragons (since each dragon takes a space in a habitat), you can sell your Lightning Dragon for 37,500 coins.
