The release of the dragonvale ruby dragon has come with a release of a new dragonvale decoration known as the dragonvale corondum crystal. It is not yet clear if getting the dragonvale corondum crystal will in any way help you in getting the dragonvale ruby dragon.

First we had the dragonvale emerald dragon, then the dragonvale pearl dragon and now, we have the dragonvale ruby dragon for the month of July. This dragon is only available for the month of July and therefore it will be good to start trying out your hands at breeding the dragonvale ruby dragon.
The ruby dragonvale dragon is very cute in its glittering red color and diamond like eyes. You will surely love breeding the ruby dragon.

The incubation period for the dragonvale ruby dragon is 31 hours. However, the dragonvale rubby dragon egg takes 24.8 hours to hatch
- Dragonvale Ruby Dragon Breeding
So far, here are the proposed best breeding combination for you to try out on the ruby dragonvale dragon is:
- Dragonvale blazing dragon with Dragonvale crystal dragon.
- Dragonvale Chrome Dragon with Dragonvale Lava Dragon
- Dragonvale Chrome Dragon with Dragonvale Fire Dragon
- Dragonvale Chrome Dragon with Dragonvale Scorch Dragon
The last combination in this list is the most preferable combination for breeding the ruby dragon. Also, the most preferable levels is level ten dragonvale dragons. Use the regular breeding cave most preferably if you really want your ruby dragon.

Did you get one? I have been breeding chrome and scorch all month both breeding caves…and still no ruby dragon. I have used more than 50 gems to speed up breeding time. I am gonna be soooo angry if i dont get a ruby dragon!!! Rawr!!!!
I still have to get a gem dragon of any kind,no matter how many times I’d try. Can not get Current or Plasma. I don’t under stand why it is so hard. They say have patience I think day after day for a month and not even get one is messed up.

I do ur combinations but can’t get it I keep getting firework dragons this is the 4th time i have got a firework dragon instead of Ruby Dragon!!!!!

What dragon breeds, what sides and what levels were your dragons. Ive tried at least 40+ times with chrome and scorch…every combination of sides and levels, but…still no ruby dragon. I need help!!!

Same for me and I wanted to clear my breeding cave to keep trying for the ruby which I have yet to get after $40 of gems and I have 54 fireworks dragons but when I sped it up I didn’t recognize the egg, pretty gold egg w scales….it’s a new dragon I didn’t even realize existed!!! The Gold Dragon! Now back to trying for the blasted ruby dragon. I can’t wait until this stupid fireworks dragon disappears but I am displaying every one until it ends on the 20th just to show how ridiculous it is. And now I need the other new dragon too, the malachite! Hope you get the Gold! Really cool one!
Crome left blazing right worked for me
Are you absolutely sure blazing and chrome worked? Another site says ONLY chrome and scorch work for Ruby Dragon. But ive tried chrome and scorch at least 30 times with ZERO luck.
I tried chrome and scorch and all I’m getting are firework dragons. I didn’t need six of them…
yeah same hear .and if i try the other methods i still end up with lava ,
evergreen or other but no luck. i think i am never getting the ruby dragon
I have 52 of the stupid fireworks dragon, spent a fortune in cash and no ruby, even sold 9 fireworks and kept 3 but still have 52 displayed and 1 incubating and one in both breeding caves. Ridiculous. Backflip should have ended the firework after the 4th. annoying

i have tried like about 5-10 time to get the ruby dragon but the lvl 10 chrome dragon and lvl 10 scorch dragon does not work. i get a firework dragon. I thin i need the apic breeding island but i cant get enough gems in time and i cant buy gems cause i am just 13 years old. pls can anyone help!!

Have tried blazing+crystal(lvl 15+15 and lvl 10+10) and chrome+scorch(lvl 10+10), and I now have about 30 firework dragons displayed. Just for counting… Hate those darn fireworks! When will they disappear????(soon I hope!) Have got several magnetic and others as well. Can’t get the ruby dragon

I tried every day of the month and didn’t get my birth month dragon
I even spent all my gems to get it… they made it too rediculously hard to get this dragon. Watch me get all the others on the first try…

I tried both caves every day for the entire month. I even spent over 350 gems trying to get the Ruby dragon. I am more than pissed off!! Grrrrrrr!!! Its almost like the game decides whether or not a player is going to be shut out of getting a particular dragon. Some people get two and i get none? Bad form Dragonvale. You need to program it in that if someone tries a certain amount of times, they eventually get the dragon!
