Have you tried the newest feature Dragon Races? It’s the first mini-game created by Backflip Studios for Dragonvale. And one of the race tracks is called Dragonvale Ulster Meadows. In this post we’ll give you more information about this race track and the different features of the Dragon Races.
In every race track there are common elements and uncommon elements. Dragons that match the common elements of a track will most likely appear on that track. In the case of the Dragonvale Ulster Meadows, the common elements are Plant Element and Earth Element. Does it have an impact on the race? Actually it does. A dragon that matches the common element of the Dragonvale Ulster Meadows has a good chance of winning the race.
Typical racing games will let you select a track, but in the Dragon Races, the race track is randomly selected. Therefore, you can’t select the Dragonvale Ulster Meadows even if you want to race on it. The race feature of Dragonvale is linear. Therefore, there’s no need to select a track.
Although racing with a Plant or Earth dragon gives you a better chance in the Dragonvale Ulster Meadows track, there are recommended dragons that will further increase your chances of winning. Here’s a list of the dragons that can help you gain victory in Dragonvale Ulster Meadows:
- Tree Dragon
- Clover Dragon
- Moss Dragon
- Sakura Dragon
You can only win the race if you get the first, second or third place. If you don’t win a Dragon Race, then you’ll be stuck in a single race track until you win. So if you’re currently on the Dragonvale Ulster Meadows, try to win in order to see and experience the other race tracks.
Do you want to know the prizes you can possibly get in winning a race? Here they are:
- The 1st placer will spin the Gold Wheel. You have a chance to win Experience, Dragonvale Cash and Treats. The amount ranges from thousands to millions. You also have a chance to win a Gem or two.
- The 2nd placer will spin the Silver Wheel. You have a chance to win Experience, Dragonvale Cash and Treats. The amount is around ten thousand.
- The 3rd place will spin the Bronze Wheel. You have a chance to win Experience, Dragonvale Cash and Treats. You can possibly get thousands of these prizes

I love the mini game!!! It makes waiting that last five minutes for a hatchling much more bearable! The races involve hitting the boosts (tapping either good, great, or perfect when the line crosses) which makes a mediocre match for the track a fair contender. Onesy twosy crystals come up as prizes but I have yet to receive any. That’s really my only complaint thus far…so difficult to get crystals and everything takes sooooo long. Anyways, more mini games!!! They’re great!!!
