It’s currently the year of the dragon and that’s evident in Dragonvale because of the Panlong Dragon. But when you hear about the Dragonvale Year of the Dragon, it’s not actually the year 2012 that we’re talking about. It is one of the race tracks in Dragonvale. In this post, we will be concentrating on the Dragonvale Year of the Dragon race track.

Every track in Dragonvale has what we call common elements. They are called common elements because the dragons that participate in the event usually carry these common elements. The common elements also serve as a guide. It will help you choose a dragon that can match the speed of the other dragons. Here are the common elements of the Dragonvale Year of the Dragon:

• Earth Element
• Air Element
• Water Element
• Fire Element

It would be best to select dragons with elements that match all the common elements of a race track. In Dragonvale Year of the Dragon, the only dragon that matches all the common elements is the Panlong Dragon. If you don’t have this dragon yet, you can still enter the race with a dragon that matches at least two of the common elements.

To be able to get a prize from a race, you need to get either 1^st place, 2^nd place or 3^rd place. After winning the race you will spin a wheel. The following are the designated wheels for the winner:

• Gold wheel (first placer) – gives out gems, Dragonvale cash, treats and experience. You have a chance to get 1 or 2 gems. As for the rest of the prizes, the amount to be won ranges from thousands to millions.
• Silver wheel (second placer) – gives out Dragonvale cash, treats and experience. The amount to be won is around ten thousands.
• Bronze wheel (third placer) – gives out Dragonvale cash, treats and experience. The amount to be won is around thousands.

Although this mini-game is not yet stable, it’s a great way to enjoy Dragonvale. If your friends haven’t downloaded the latest version, tell them about the Dragon races and this Dragonvale Year of the Dragon. They will surely enjoy playing in the Dragon Tracks.
