• The coin earning rates for the spring dragon are quite high. At level 1, you will earn 33 coins per minute while at level 10, you will earn 214 coins per minute.

• The thunder dragon earning rates at level 1 is 9 coins per minute while at level 10 it is 57 coins per minute. At level 20, the dragon will give you 111 coins per minute.

• As the game description will alert you, “River dragons live on land but spend much of their time in the water. Their boundless energy and constant frolicking cause river dragon scales to fray at the edge, giving them the look of fur.” 

• The best place to get a river dragon in dragonvale is near the Ami’Lya Pond where their splashing will make a melody like sound which they dance to occasionally.

• Do not try to breed the river dragon if you have not reached level 14 of the game play. You will not succeed. This is because this dragon is available as from the fourteenth level of dragonvale game play.

• The normal breeding time for this dragon is 13 hours. however, this time can be shortened to 10 hours and 24 minutes. The incubation period also remains at 13 hours.

• If you are not interested in breeding this dragon, you can buy it from the market place at 900 gems. However, the selling price for the dragon is 900,000 dragonvale coins.

• The river dragonvale is not a limited time dragon. As such, you can breed it through out the year.
• This dragon has the elements of water and earth and for this reason, its two habitats are the water habitat and the earth habitat.

• The river coin earning rates stands at seven coins per minute when it is in level one, forty seven coins per minute in level ten and ninety one coins per minute in level twenty.

• The dragon is only available as from level seventeen of the game play. As such, if you are in lower levels, you will not be able to breed this dragon.

Breeding the Dragonvale Platinum dragon needs dragonvale dragons with metal and water elements and therefore any dragons that you will choose for your breeding must have air and water traits present within them.  This dragon can be bred in both the normal and the epic breeding cave. • This December gemstone dragon is available as from level fourteen of the game play.

• If you don’t wish to breed the Turquoise gemstone dragon, you can buy your gemstone dragon. The gemstone dragon is worth 1,475 dragonvale gems.

• The lunar eclipse will only be around up until the first week of December this year and therefore, hurry up and get yours before they are gone!

The dragonvale Lunar Eclipse Dragon can be bred on several combinations consisting of dragonvale dragons with either air, earth and cold elements. Breeding the lunar eclipse dragon can take place in the epic breeding cave or the normal breeding cave. Here are the best breeding combinations if you want to get the lunar eclipse dragon:

• Breeding the lunar eclipse dragon with the sun dragon of the moon dragon will either yield another lunar eclipse dragon or another sun or moon dragon.

• The smoke dragon is not a limited time dragon. This means that you will be able to get your smoke dragon throughout the year. As such, there is no need to worry when you don’t get your smoke dragon at the first trial for breeding.

• The smoke dragon has an incubation period of 14 hours and a breeding time ranging between eleven to fourteen hours.

• If you have no intention of breeding the dragonvale smoke dragon and wish to buy your smoke dragon, you will need a 100 dragonvale gems to do so.

• The selling the dragonvale smoke dragon is less lucrative and will make you run at a loss especially if you bout your smoke dragon. This is because whereas the buying price is 100 gems, the selling price for this dragon is 100,000 Dragonvale coins.

• Do you wish to have an idea of the smoke dragon’s earning rates? Well, at level 1, the smoke dragon will earn you 7 coins while a level 10 smoke dragon has earnings of 43 coins.

How do you breed the smoke dragon? The smoke dragon is generally bred when two basic dragons belonging to the dragonvale fire dragon and the dragonvale air dragon breeds are paired. This is because the smoke dragon has fire and air elements.

• The dragonvale Topaz Portal is a limited decoration that will soon be gone from your dragonvale market place. When the Topaz dragon is withdrawn from the game, the Topaz Portal too will be withdrawn. Therefore, get your Topaz portal dragon before it is gone!

The Topaz Portal is a cute type of decoration that is worth having in your dragonvale park. It will do you more good than harm to get for yourself the dragonvale topaz portal because it will enlighten your park in many secret ways.

• It is a limited period sculpture which is only availed in the game play during the period when the eclipse dragons can be bred. Like the game descriptions say, “When the magic is aligned to allow for Eclipse dragons to be bred the magic of sculpture is activated and a syzygy occurs.”

• Since having the dragonvale umbral decoration in your game has no effect on the breeding rate of your dragons, having the umbral sculpture is simply meant to give you a chance to enjoy an extra item of decoration in your dragonvale island.

• Apart from decorating your dragonvale park, the umbral structure will also serve as a reminder of that special time when you were able to breed the eclipse dragonvale dragons.

• The Umbral sculpture can be bought from the market only during the period which it is available after which, it will not be available even in your dragonvale market place.

• If you fail to get this dragonvale decoration now, you may have to wait until November next year to lay your hands on the umbral sculpture.

• For you to get the dragonvale umbral sculpture, you will have to be at least in level 12 of dragonvale game play.

• Should you decide to buy the umbral sculpture, you will buy it at 30,000 dragonvale coins. However, it has a selling price of 15,000 dragonvale coins.

• The selling price for the topaz dragon is 1.5 million dragonvale coins. It also has 100,000 XP and the gemstone habitat as its habitat.

• The dragonvale Topaz Dragon Earning rates are as follows: At level one, they offer two gems per month, at level four, they give three dragonvale gems per month, At level eight four gems per month while at level ten they will give one gem per week.

• The Topaz dragon has been released alongside the new Topaz Portal decoration.

Breeding the November gemstone dragon is as challenging as breeding the other gemstone dragons for other months. Just like other gemstone dragons, the dragonvale topaz dragon has only one sure combination for its breeding and this best combination for breeding the topaz dragon is:

- Dragonvale Cactus Dragon bred with Dragonvale Firefly Dragon

Some dragonvale fans suggest that the best level dragons for getting the Topaz dragon are level 13 firefly and cactus dragons. However, this is for you to experiment and verify its aunthenticity. • The obsidian dragon’s incubation time is eight hours while it has a breeding time of 6hours and 24 minutes.
• The obsidian dragon has earth and fire habitats and is not a limited dragon.

• The obsidian dragon is bred by pairing the earth dragon and the fire dragon or a combination of the earth and fire dragon elements.

• The breeding for this dragon can take place in either the normal breeding cave or the epic breeding cave.

• Here are some breeding combinations for the obsidian dragonvale dragon.

- Breeding Dragonvale Earth Dragon with Dragogonvale Fire Dragon

Main Highlights of Dragonvale’s Version 1.11.0 Update

• A new dragon is now available. Kairos, the name of the new dragon, is Backflip Studios’ first legendary dragon for Dragonvale. It has the ability to accelerate time in your nature park.
• The Perch of Kairos has been added. This habitat and the three artifacts are needed to summon the legendary dragon.
• The Chronolith artifact has been added. This is needed to complete the first upgrade of the Perch of Kairos.
• The Time Claw artifact has been added. This is for the completion of the second upgrade of the Perch of Kairos.
• The Statue of Kairos has been added. This is for the final upgrade of the Perch of Kairos. Completion of this upgrade enables you to summon Kairos, The Legendary Dragon.
• The level cap of Dragonvale has been increased to level 40.
• There are new Halloween updates aside from the re-released features (from last year). The Ghost Dragon and the Tower Hollow were added.
• The habitat quota has been increased. Remember that although the Perch of Kairos is a habitat, it won’t count in your habitat quota.

Owners of the 2^nd Gen. iPod touch will not be able to enjoy this update. If you want to experience new updates from Dragonvale and from different games, consider purchasing a latest iDevice.

The Basics on Dragonvale’s Statue of Kairos

In-game Description:

“The Statue of Kairos is the third and final stage in the process of summoning the Legendary Dragon Kairos, who lords over time. This grand visage of Kairos depicts him holding a ball of… wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey… stuff.”

You need to complete the seven fragments that form the Statue of Kairos. They can be obtained in two ways. You can play and win Dragon Races. The fragments are part of the prizes that you can get. Another way is by purchasing each part with Dragonvale Gems.

After spinning the wheel and winning a part that you have previously obtained, the game gives you another chance to spin the wheel. During you second chance, all the fragments are removed as prizes.

The Seven Time Fragments of Dragonvale’s Statue of Kairos

You will spend a total amount of 900 gems if you decide to purchase all of these fragments from the Market. Here’s the prize list of the time fragments of the final artifact:

• The upper left part (the head) costs 300 Gems.
• The top center part (the neck) costs 150 Gems.
• The upper right part (the wing) costs 75 Gems.
• The left part in the middle (the orb) costs 75 Gems.
• The center part (the torso) costs 150 Gems.
• The lower left part (the feet) costs 75 Gems.
• The lower right part (the tail) costs 75 Gems.

With the collection of all these fragments, you can form the final artifact which completes all the stages of the upgrades. Finally, you can summon Kairos and enjoy the time acceleration every four days.

The Basics on the Dragonvale Time Claw

In-game Description:

“The Time Claw is a magical golden sundial. When placed atop the Chronolith, it charts the web of space and time. The great Tharbin Ironweaver forged this piece from one of Kairos’ claw fragments, broken off and forgotten since time immemorial. The Time Claw creates a magical conduit between your park, where time flows only one direction, and Kairos, for whom time is really more of a guideline.”

There are a total of seven time fragments to be collected to for the Time Claw artifact. You can either get them all by joining the Dragon Races. Always aim for victory in order to spin the wheel and get the chance to win the fragment.

Every time you spin the wheel, you can only hope that you get a different fragment. If you won a duplicate of what you already have, you’ll be given another chance to spin the wheel. However, you won’t be winning any kind of fragment on your 2^nd chance.

The Seven Fragments of Dragonvale’s Time Claw Artifact

The total cost of all the fragments is 900 gems. Below is the price list for each part:

• The upper left part of the artifact costs 75 Gems.
• The top center part of the artifact costs 75 Gems.
• The upper right part of the artifact costs 75 Gems.
• The lower left part is the biggest part. It costs 300 Gems
• The gnomon (the center part) of the artifact costs 75 Gems
• The bottom center part of the artifact costs 150 Gems.
• The lower right part of the artifact costs 150 Gems.

The Basics on Dragonvale’s Perch of Kairos

In-game description:

“The Perch of Kairos, crafted before the days of record keeping, is magically affixed to your second island. In order to summon Kairos to your park — and reap the benefit of his time-bending power — you will need to find and assemble three ancient artifacts: The Chronolith, the Time Claw and the Statue of Kairos.”

• Initially, you have to purchase the Perch of Kairos which costs 750,000 Dragonvale Cash. It gets built in an instant, but it doesn’t end there. As we have mentioned before, the completion of this habitat has stages. There are a total of three stages or upgrades.
• After placing this habitat in your nature park, it can no longer be moved. It’s not available for all players. You need to be at level 16 or higher to be able to purchase Dragonvale’s Perch of Kairos.
• You don’t have to worry about your habitat quota. The Perch of Kairos will not be counted. You can still get this habitat even if you’ve reached the maximum number of allowed habitats.
• You usually purchase a habitat after getting an idea of what dragon you’ll be having. It’s a different case with the Perch of Kairos. You need to have this habitat first before getting the dragon that will live in it.

The Three Stages of Dragonvale’s Perch of Kairos

• To complete the first stage of the legendary dragon’s habitat, you need to complete the fragments that form the Chronolith. For more information on the Chronolith, visit our Dragonvale Chronolith page.
• To complete the second stage, you need to gather all the fragments that form the Time Claw. This artifact is a magical sundial.
• To complete the third and final stage of the Perch of Kairos, you need to gather all the fragments of the Statue of Kairos.

• Getting Dragonvale’s First Legendary Dragon

The Legendary Dragon, Kairos, cannot be obtained like the other dragons. You need to summon it by completing the upgrades of the Perch of Kairos. Three artifacts are needed to upgrade the Perch of Kairos which will become the habitat of the legendary dragon. Once the upgrade is complete you can start summoning Kairos. Now here comes the hard part. The three artifacts cannot be acquired in an instant. First of all, you need to complete all the 21 artifacts to complete all the three artifacts. Each artifact is available as a prize in the Dragon Races. And if you’re willing to spend real money on this game, you need to have 2,700 gems for a complete set of the 21 artifacts.

• The Importance of Dragonvale’s Kairos

The impact of having Kairos is very huge. No wonder obtaining this legendary dragon is hard. But don’t lose hope. If you give up, you’ll miss the great opportunity of using the time bending powers of Kairos. Every four days, you can activate his power to accelerate the time. After activation, all your park activities will be accelerated to 6 hours.

There is no pressure in obtaining this dragon. It’s not a limited edition dragon so you don’t have to get it immediately. It takes patience especially if you’re going to rely on the prizes from the Dragon Races. Try to win every Dragon Race you join in. It’s a good investment for your game, so don’t give up on obtaining the artifacts.
