As per the game descriptions, the dragonvale astrovane is used by wizards to track the cycles of the sin and the moon and indicate when the equinox dragon can be bred and the beginning of the harvest festival. The astrovane decoration in dragonvale is limited just like the equinox dragonvale dragon and will be gone from your dragonvale island soon.
- Dragonvale Equinox Dragon Egg
The equinox dragon egg is pink in color but has the signs of the sun and the moon on its surface. Perhaps this is an indicator of the type of dragonvale dragon the equinox is. As such, the equinox dragonvale dragon egg is quite unique and hard to confuse with any other of the many dragonvale eggs.

Happened to me when I played and won the races – delete the game and then reinstall – worked better after that. I did not delete from Game Centre.

You either have to update your device past 4.3, they said that anything earlier than that gets this bug. I fixed my sisters outdated iPad and brother in laws iPhone this way. Other than that you use to wait for an update. They are aware of this bug and are Trying to fix it.
But what about Dragon Vale, do you have to start all over if you update your device?
No! Keep the Game Center records. Than you just can go on with your own game.
You could update. Save your info back it up then upload the new soft ware update on your phone through apple! Or go to the store.

That’s because you can’t breed them directly. It’s kinda like the “opposite element” dragons- you have to go around the breeding system to get the dragon, only this one uses a combination you wouldn’t think of. Try the Blazing/Water combinations. And yes, I know, it can get frustrating, especially lately. I love new dragons, but Backflip needs to slow down already.

I have been using the blazeing/rain combo ,and water as well as fog with no luck , I’m a lvl 35 maxed out my Rain dragon is maxed at 10 odd? This is stupid, I’ve breed approx 10-15 times the combination to get this dragon and still it doesn’t appear. Every dragon in this game is far to hard to breed in time and random that you don’t get what you want. The makers of this game need to make it more user friendly and achievable so everyone can evjoy the game. Trying time and time again to get a dragon that should really be there after you breed the correct dragon should be a must. I’ve played this game since it was first designed and still nothing changes. Not everyone has the money to buy a dragon once they become available. Give everyone a chance, stop making it so dam hard to play. Does anyone else agree or disagree?
I agree. Backflip has been pushing out limited dragons too quickly, and the dragons have been too hard to get. I’ve tried 84 times for the equinox dragon to no avail. If this continues, I’ll drop Dragonvale. I have enough frustration in real life. This is supposed to be entertainment.
I agree I have been trying to breed this dragon since it first came out, buying gems and everything nothing works am really disappointed in backflip they are making it too hard to get limited dragons, and are turning what used to be a really enjoyable game into a highly frustrating one

Bear with me, suddenly having problems gifting gems. I hope you see this and don’t think I only sent one gem earlier this week then stopped. And to those other players, I didn’t get my Equinox dragon either, despite constant attempts.

I’ve spent the last 5 days running the same 3 options for this equinox and was ready give up. This morning I got 24hrs. Sometimes you just have to keep at it.
Nothing is working! I breed Blazing and Fog, I get Rain. I breed Blazing and Rain, I get Fog. I breed Blazing and Water, I get Blazing or Rain or Fog. I’ve hatched at least 30 dragons like this in the last week. I always end up with an 8 hour breed/hatch time, getting sick of it.
Sooo annoying!!! I have used all the combos left and right since equinox was released. Still no luck. Just fog and rain over and over and over and over……….!!!

I am having the same bad luck. Over thirty times now.
Congratulations I’ve been frustrated to the point of ending play. Over 20 attempts to breed the equinox even purchased gems in attempting to do so. No longer willing to waste my time on a feat that is to arbitrary.
I have tried all the combos on both breeding islands and still no go. This is rediculous, you should be able to breed this in the time frame allocated. It is frustrating and makes you want to delete the game. I am lvl 35 and have most dragons but after trying for this dragon since it was released on both islands and not to get the dragon just wants me to finish playing this game.

I feel the same way. I can’t get an equinox, rainbow, seasonal, or sapphire. Tried every combination at least 10 time, sapphire about 20 and nothing. Im level 21 and my dragons are all level 10. I have 2 breeding caves. I’m so frustrated I just wanna give up on this game. Is this a glitch in the game?
Finally got the Equinox after 50+ tries and about 350 gems used speeding things up. Used 15 Blazing left and 15 Rain right on Epic Breeding Island. But dont get too excited…i had tried this combo many many many times before. Just glad i finally got one!!!

I have tried to breed the equinox dragon since the first day it came out in the epic breeding island and the normal breeding cave and did not get the equinox dragon, I also tried all the combos more than adozen times. My freind on the other hand got it first try in the normal breeding cave. Is it just me or is dragonvale becoming a lot more difficult to play?

This game is great but now its geting frustrating, you should be able to buy dragons with gold and not just with gems!

I did blazing + fog and got it on my first try. It was in my enchanted breeding cave. The enchanted breeding cave decreases the time by 20% so it was only 20 hours
