series of the new gemstone dragons that will be released over the coming months.
Last month, we had the dragonvale emerald dragon while for this month, the dragonvale emerald dragon was withdrawn from the market and in its place, the dragonvale pearl dragon was released.
Even before we move into breeding the dragonvale pearl dragon, here are some facts you need to know about the dragonvale pearl dragon:
- About the dragonvale pearl dragon
As per the game description, the dragonvale pearl dragon is one of the most friendly and playful dragonvale dragons. the dragonvale pearl dragon is available at the fourteenth level of game play.
It is for this reason that you will not be able to get the pearl dragon if you have not reached level 14 in dragonvale game play.
The dragonvale pearl dragon’s habitat is the gemstone island. The buying price for the dragonvale pearl dragon is 1,475 dragonvale gems while the selling price for the dragonvale pearl dragon is 1,500 dragonvale coins.
- Dragonvale pearl dragon egg
The egg for the dragonvale pearl dragon is sparkling pink in color. Its unique and beautiful and much more unlike all the other dragonvale eggs.
- Dragonvale Pearl Dragon Breeding
There is only one known combination for breeding the dragonvale pearl dragon. Even before we give you the breeding combination for the dragonvale pearl dragon, we have to let you know that the dragonvale pearl dragon incubation period is thirty hours. Here is the breeding combination for the dragonvale pearl dragon:
- Dragonvale snow dragon and the dragonvale seaweed dragon
The breeding for the dragonvale pearl dragon takes place at the epic breeding island though you can also use the normal breeding cave.
- Dragonvale Pearl Dragon earnings
At the first level, dragonvale pearl dragon will give two dragonvale gems per month. At the fourth level, the dragonvale pearl dragon will give you three dragonvale gems per month. At the eighth level the dragonvale pearl dragon will give you four dragonvale gems per month and at the tenth level you will get one dragonvale gem per week.

I have tried snow(lvl.10) and seaweed(lvl.10) about 10 times(in normal breeding cave)and haven’t got it!? Maybe I’m just unlucky

A crystal a sun moon or rainbow is 48 hrs
A crystal dragon is only 24 hr not 48

Currently at level 21 in game,all dragons level 10… have been breeding snow dragon 10 + seaweed dragon 10 (& reversed) both on Epic breeding island & regular breeding cave over 40 plus times & NO pearl….. Keep getting 5 or 8 hour breeding time…How do you get a pearl without purchasing gems????? Becoming frustrated with the game now !!!
I tried breeding snow and seaweed too many times to count and wasn’t getting the pearl dragon but then I bred a new snow and a new seaweed and fed them until the snow was level 10 and the seaweed was level 12 and got the pearl on the next try.

I agree, I have done the same, both breeding spots over and over again, nothing! I too am getting frustrated with it. I laid off it for about two weeks because of that. Never got the emerald either. They should NOT make it so hard to get.

Try a level 10 Snow on the right and a level 6 Seaweed on the left… That’s how I got my pearl dragon. My Gamecenter is Jedininja 59 if you want to see it…

to get the solstice dragon breed mud dragon and blazing dragon mud dragon on the left and blazing on the right I got mine on the first try.

use the mud and blaze
Use the Mud Dragon + Blazing Dragon to make solstice. Its a 5% chance of getting it. If you got rainbow dragon before, you might get either sun,rainbow,moon(Very low chance,) or solstice.
originally u breed blazing and earth but i found if u breed a hybrid earth with blazing its more effective (dnt hold me to that) but i bred Quake dragon and blazing 2 times and got 2 solstice dragons

I think it maybe if you have the emerald you can’t get a pearl dragon this may not be true but it looks like it because I have a emerald but can’t get a pearl like 60th try any this may not be true

this may be weird but i bred a pearl using lvl 10 snow-lvl 10 seaweed and a solstice dragon using mudlvl10-blazinglvl10 both early in the morning…around 5am-6am i think i got them on my 5th try on each one

FYI, I think for Forge dragon one combination is Blazing + Steel, I got a 24hr (in the normal breeding cave) but am still waiting for the egg to be incubated.

I got it by breeding my fire (level 10) and metal (level 10) in the normal breeding cave first try
i got Forge dragon by using Fire + Steel in about 5~7 tries.

Man, the Pearl dragon is so hard! The Emerald dragon was pretty easy for me, but the Pearl wasn’t! The problem is that I only have like 6 dragons that are Level 10-and I don’t know how to get beyond Level 10 dragons.
I always get 8 hours of incubation, and keep on getting Brass. Are there any other combinations for Pearl other than Snow and Seaweed/Seaweed and Snow? I really want Pearl!

The way to get dragon levels is the statues of the different dragons. They have tasks and when you do the task, the level ceiling gets boosted. Also called shrines.
You get to level 50 the same kid of dragon thin shine will go silver
The trick is to breed at around 5:55 Pacific Standard Time. Dragonvale isn’t random, but operates based on the hours of the day.

I had the same problem, with snow left and seaweed right. Then I put seaweed left and hot a pearl dragon!
I bred lvl 10 seaweed and lvl 10 snow in that order on EBI. Tried it 3xs and got it.
Also just bred the forge dragon aswell. Metal 10 and firefly 10 in reg cave 1st try.
Me to I have 2 hours left so I’ll keep trying

Thank you both for the tips on how to breed the forge dragon. I used lava and metal (both level 10) in that order in the upgraded breeding cave and got a 24 hour incubation time. I am hoping that it is a forge dragon, but even if it isn’t I thank you both for the tips!

I have tried snow and seaweed over 25 times and still haven’t got it, I have two seaweed and snow so I breed in both epic and normal breeding caves at the same time so I can get it quicker but no luck so far, I am at level 21. Please help me. I also never got emerald.

I tried at Asia: Singapore time, 2.25pm and 8.55pm, both left side: seaweed & right side: snow on 2 different breed island and successful. Not sure if that helps

You need to take 50 dragons to level 10 and then you can get them to level 15. The shrines keep count of the number you have taken to level 10. Dragons with 2 breeds count for both. Happy to share gems if you like.
Use the shrines. you have to get like 50 lvl 10 dragons or something. just check out the shrines they tell you.
You have to buy a shrine and make 50 level 10 dragons…:)

I did lvl 10 seaweed and lvl 10 snow in the normal breeding cave. I keep getting ice and other 8 our dragons, but on my 2nd time breeding that it was around 10-11am and I got a rainbow. Still hoping to get the pearl.

Did anyone else get one by breeding at around 11am local time? Mine are breeding now so I couldn’t test that theory but I’ll try 11pm my time tonight for hahas. The only upside to all of this breeding is I keep getting breeds I haven’t had a chance to try for yet (Iceberg, Ice, Willow, etc). I think I have a Frostfire incubating now but that was from breeding Fire and Snow (I really needed a break from Snow and Seaweed).

I got Pearl after quite a few attempts in epic breeding island with seaweed and snow lv 10.
I couldn’t get Emerald but they released it half way through May so not fair

I too have tried and tried and tried and still no pearl! I am about to scream. I got emerald so easy. My 7 year old son was born in June and really wants his dragon
So I tried Snow (Lvl 10) and Seaweed (Lvl 10) at 11am local time (EST) this morning. On my first attempt I used gems to speed up the process (to test the theory that breeding and/or incubation need to happen around 11am local time). Fail — got another Willow. On the second attempt I didn’t use any gems, just bred them, and got a Lichen about a half hour ago.
Sorry guys, but I don’t think there’s anything to that “specific time” theory. It was probably just coincidence; the breeding is more than likely truly randomized.

Hi ..I been trying 2 breed beetween snow & seaweed try to get pearl many time ..i lost count and i dont get it, then trying 2 get solstice mud and blazing and fail then the second time buum got breeding time 30 hours ? ..did u guys know what I got ? … Because I don’t know….has any another have 30 hour except pearl ? ……

Ok so I have been breeding snow and seaweed every day since the beginning of June and have yet to receive the pearl. But every other dragon that comes along I get first try! Getting very frustrated with the game. I have a set breeding in both caves. I’m confused! Any advice???

I finally got the pearl dragon, in the second variety egg (the metallic egg with a pearl in the centre). I bred seaweed on left snow on right.
Patience is key. After about 30 tries I have finally got the pearl dragon! WOOHOO!
I tried with lvl 20 snow and lvl 20 seaweedon epic breeding island lvl 2 and i cant get it! WHY!

Hey guys, I JUST got one on my second try. I got a new snow of the left, and a seaweed on the right. Both were level 10 and I did It at the Epic breeding island. I bred them at 8:25 AM.
Breeding seaweed and snow 2-3x daily and no pearl. Getting bored. Does anyone know what level of the game you need to be at to get one? For those who have one, what level were you at?
I have been breeding in both breeding areas 3x daily since June 1st with seaweed and snow. I have alternated the dragons, used gems, and tried breeding at 11:05 and 6:05 and still have not received a Pearl dragon. I have also updated the IPod operating system and the Dragonvale game. My level is 30 and the dragons are levels 12+. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have been trying for pearl all month too.. I have switched snow and seaweed tried all different levels and nothing! I have been using both breeding caves. I am frustrated. Last month I tried all month and got emerald on the last day. Some of my friends have multiples and I can’t even get one! Hating this game. They make it ridiculous
No shit same here that’s crazy I got emerald last day of breeding and have tried 30+ times on both normal and epic for the pearl!!…cmooooooooon..but I try for solstice and immediately get solstice and rainbow..so I only can half complain haha

I have tried every combination and at specific times to no avail! I can’t get this darned dragon!! I tried for Solatice, too, and couldn’t get it. SO frustrating! I bought the epic breeding island and hoped that would help, but it hasn’t. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When I tried the breeding, all I got was a another seaweed dragon
I have been breeding snow left and seaweed right in both caves since the Pearl dragon was released, so at least 4 tries per day . Used gems occasionally to speed things up and bred “fresh” dragons. Finally reread posts on several sites and found a couple of posts where people said they got a pearl with seaweed on left and snow on right. Nothing to lose at this point, I reversed the breeding order in both caves so level 10 seaweed left and level 10 snow right. I have a 30 wait in the regular breeding cave ! FINALLY!

Ive been trying to breed this thing in both caves for 23 days now. Level 10 snow then level 10 seaweed. I’ve done everything expect buy it! So when the month is over I just lose out because the company decides that certain people are able to get 5 and other get 0. Bs!!! Please help me out

I’ve been trying for Pearl for over 2 weeks straight now – no exaggeration, I have tried seaweed & snow more than 20 times, snow & seaweed more than 20 times. And all I get is 8hrs, 8hrs, 8hrs, 9hrs, 6hrs, 8hrs, 9hrs….GRRRRR! I got a Rainbow in the process, which I was happy to have, but still no Pearl =( I’m so envious of everyone who got it on the first or second try, so lucky! I had to try for Emerald all month too (well, technically not for a whole month – I thought that it’s unfair for them to release an update with available-for-1-month-only limited dragons when it was already more than halfway through May) and when I finally got one it was like the 2nd last day of May…So my guess is that I’ll have to keep breeding till the end of June for Emerald too. Sigh…
Try breeding at 5:55pm! It sounds silly but it worked for me and I was like you and had been trying nonstop! Lol can’t hurt

I’ve tried everyday since June 1st, and still no luck. >:( I’ve used over 100 gems just to get it. Stopped once to try to get Solstice, no luck but I got a Panlong.
So my theory is that I can’t breed gem dragons, but I have lots of luck breeding crown and other rare dragons. Currently have 3 suns, 1 rainbow, and 1 Panlong egg. Haven’t tried moon yet.
Just got it!!!!! Snow and seaweed level 10 at 10:00pm in epic breeding island. On my like 100th try!! I am sooo happy!! Good luck!!! Don’t give up it may take 100 tries but it is worth it!!!!!

Well if you are reading this far down you are as desperate as I was for the pearl dragon! And while reading I saw the comments about doing it at 5:55pm and so today I set my alarm for 5:54 so I could go to the game and try it and I’m proud to announce I’m the new mother of a 30 hr wait time!! Seriously it works!! I’ve been trying none stop on bother the island and cave since the first and hadnt gotten it and go it first try when I did it at 5:55pm! Used seaweed(12) on left and snow(11) on the right! Yay!!
I tried snow and seaweed several time more than 10 times. So after reading all your comments I used level 10 snow and breed a new seaweed and got him to exactly level 6. Then I breed them in the normal breeding cave and it came up with 30 hrs. So I gather that’s the pearl dragon. Try this it may work for you

Made the effort to read through all posts. Only Common Thing seems to be Seaweed + Snow. Otherwise succeeded (or not) with all Levels, left/right, right/left, all breeding places, random Times, at first try, not after 50. There is no trick about it, face it. It is down to luck.
Guys just use snow and seaweed and keep trying, seaweed and snow works just the same tried a month and still no pearl. Just keep trying and you will get it soon. Type in dragonvale breeding sandbox in your search bar and tap pearl at the top in blue. This will show haw many dragons you can get with the snow and seaweed and their incubation time.
So keep on trying!

I have tried so hard to breed the pearl dragon and nothin I do is working please someone help me. I have tried breeding the new ones I have tried moving them between the different islands and at different levels, i have tried since they put out the combination at least twice per day sometimes alot more and I have used a lot of gems does anyone have any ideas I am a level 31 do I’m not new at this
If you want a pearl dragon you need the seaweed dragon first then the snow dragon for the second. It works I got two pearl eggs

I’m on level 31 and all of my dragons are level 12-15. I’ve tryed breeding snow and seaweed at least 20 times and still haven’t got it. If the makers of this game wouldn’t fix this problem, then I’m deleting the game!! Grr

I was scammed! I bought 25 dollars in crystals trying to breed the pearl dragon using the correct combination, and just wasted all that money for nothing. I could have bought an epic breeding isle and stuff. What a scam. I had 4 egg slots in my nursery, and kept speeding up hatching and breeding, and used up like 260 in crystals all on that for nothing! W
Is dragonvale using the eastern time zone for breeding and just not telling any of the customers that? That would explain why I couldn’t get one at around 9pm pacific time. That would be very dishonest if that’s the case.
