Is there a dragonvale eclipse dragon? The reason why we have to ask this question is because many dragonvale
fans are claiming that the dragonvale eclipse dragon is the rarest of all the dragonvale dragons. Here is what they claim:
- That the dragonvale eclipse dragon has an incubation period of 98 hours.
- That the dragonvale eclipse dragon has sun and moon elements and therefore can only be bred by combinations of dragonvale dragons with such elements.
- That there are YouTube videos supporting the claim for the dragonvale eclipse dragon.
- Some dragonvale fans are even claiming to have bought the dragonvale eclipse dragon.
- There are those who say that with the eclipse dragonvale dragon in your dragonvale island, you are able to turn your game into day or night whenever you feel like.
However, despite all the above claims, does the eclipse dragonvale dragon really exist? What is the reality? The reality is that there is no dragonvale eclipse dragon. Unless you have proof beyond the rumours being spread around by some dragonvale fans. There are several reasons as to why the eclipse dragonvale dragon will remain to be a myth and hoax and here are some of these reasons:
- No one knows how the dragonvale eclipse dragon looks like. There is no dragonvale eclipse dragon egg pedestal, decoration or any other sign of this dragonvale dragon in the game.
- No one has ever bred the dragonvale eclipse dragon. People are only speaking about the dragonvale eclipse dragon without having much to say about its breeding, its habitat and no one really has proof that it is there.
Do you want to prove that the dragonvale eclipse dragon exists? If you do, then, why not breed one and share your dragonvale eclipse dragon with the rest of the dragonvale fans? Like the eclipse dragon, there are many other dragons that the dragonvale fans have forwarded as existing while they are not there. Why not let the dragonvale fans know of these hoax dragons by posting them here.

Actually there is a solar and lunar eclipse dragon now. I don’t have a lunar eclipse dragon but I have 3 solar eclipses. I got them with ghost and smoke,blazing and ghost, and smoke and mud

Perhaps the only way is to bread the sun and the moon dragons only on solar or lunar eclipse in your location. That is why it is rare.
no, the element combinations for solar eclipse is air, earth, and fire, and the lunar eclipse is air, earth, and cold.
I think the WIZARDS should make the eclipse dragon and it should make more money than the rainbow and have it’s own habitat

If. They have all sorts of crazy dragons: then why not make an eclipse dragon if they don’t already exist. And besides: bone and sakura dragons are real, even if u can’t buy them or buy habitats for them ( they can go in their element habitats)

This link appears to be players recommendations for new dragons and drawings of what they “think” they should look like and also possible combinations. If they unlocked the sun and moon dragons so they could breed imagine the many different possibilities.
As it is I don’t have enough islands for the dragons I have…and yes, I have maxed out. Good luck breeding!

Well all of you dragonvale fans the dragonvale eclipse dragon does exist and i think it would be cool if it had its own habitat half sun half moon but so much bigger but you guys would have to breed the ecllipse dragon with sun and moon during the luna eclipse in your area.

Trust me it does exist the reason like no one has it is that it is secret and can only be breeded by a moon dragon and sun dragon on a type of an eclipse near you.like I said I have seen a vid. Moments in time are usually given supporting dragons and it would only make sense to include an eclipse dragon. It would be more rewarding if all rare dragons, if not all dragons were not pictured until you owned one. I do not use guides, and like surprises! How about a blue moon dragon? They come around only 1-2 a year!? Look up blue moon on Wikipedia if you don’t know what one is. ibenny – add me!

For 1 the dragon in the background of the question mark is an unknown dragon but it could be there to throw us off, or not 2nd the creators want us to think its fake for the mystery so they could alter the views to make it seem as if it’s not there. 3rd obviously some of the rumors are 100% fake but some ppl are ignoring the fact that it has to be breed in an eclipse. I am still not sure I need more proof

I think you should be able to breed eclipse by sun and moon but unfortunately you can’t the two together I have 2 sun 1 moon I’m trying for a second moon though 2 seasonal 1 gold and 1 rainbow I’m also trying for another rainbow.

Ive seen a picture of the eclipse dragon and an egg of the eclipse dragon.
The egg has a sun on it and has a black ring around it. The eclipse dragon is black with with yellow eyes and fire on its back and on the tip of its tail. The wings are also yellow.

I just don’t understand why people make crap up like this. Yea, it would be a great idea to create the eclipse dragon, however they have not created it…..YET. Those people saying they supposedly have an eclipse dragon are just making it up so they can get some attention. They are very creative, and have done a lot to try and convince you it is real, but alass, it is not.
There are such things as “secret” dragons, but they only stays secret for a short while, not for the entire duration of the game.!! When they say secret dragon, they are referring to the fact that it is not yet in the market, however you can still breed it. like the Ironwood dragon. It was “secret” for about 2 weeks then came into the market. There is no such thing as a secret dragon that has never been announced.
Hopefully they will notice that everybody wants an eclipse dragon and will go ahead and make one. I know I would love to have such an addition to my park. But to answer this question once and for all, NO, an ECLIPSE DRAGON does not yet exist in the Dragonvale game.
There is the equinox dragon though. But it’s ugly then again it’s sun and moon together. Breed time is 12 I think.

I think there must be an eclipse dragon in the works since they now have a decoration for it. I see they now have the Umbral Sculpture that can be purchased for 30,000 Dragonvale coins. The info says that the sculpture will be activated and a sygyzy occurs when the magic is aligned to allow for Eclipse dragons to be bred. It also says the that the sculpture was inspired by the creation of the world and the coming together of the first Sun and Moon dragons. I’m excited to see it! Hope it comes out soon. Does anyone know if there is an actual eclipse coming anytime soon? I have not looked it up as yet to see for myself.
I looked it up and I think there is going to be one on November 13. At least I hope so. I really want to see what the eclipse dragon looks like.

OH YEY!!!!! Got the solar eclipse dragon first try with blazing+earth. Tried a bunch of different combos with earth hybrids really quickly (sped bred) and when I tried this combo, couldn’t believe I got it first try!!! Remember its only available until November 19th and then it is gone. Good Luck breeding!!!

The Solar Eclipse Dragon does exsist. There is proof. Tons of it on youtube. It is november 2012. When i got on dragonvale today, a thing came up telling me about the Solar Eclipse Dragon. You can buy it for lots of gems. Or breed it with the sun and moon dragon. It is in the dragonvale dragon shop. Do not say it does not exist when it does. Fix the info about it or I am going to blow up this page with tons of comments about the Solar Eclipse Dragon. Because THE SOLAR ECLIPSE DRAGON DOES EXSIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I breed the blazing and earth dragon twice. All three of my sculpture things have black stuff floating round them. I have not yet gotten the dragon. Both times the egg was different. Is this good? Someone please send me a friend request in gamecenter. My username is above.
I got it with Blazing (R) and Obsidian (L) on my first try with this combo.
There is actually a real Eclipse dragon now, which kinda surprised me… Mostly because I had no idea of an upcoming eclipse. Yes, the Solar Eclipse dragon is available, and from what I’ve heard, it’ll be available only until November 19th. (At least it’s not like Blue Moon. Guess Backflip finally learned its lesson about too many dragons.)
I saw a picture on the wiki, and it is absolutely HIDEOUS. Even the egg is ugly. I sure hope Lunar Eclipse is a lot better when it comes around. My sister got it with Blazing and Bone, but I have yet to get it. The only combination is apparently Blazing+Earth/Earth Hybrid. Everyone’s been waiting for a real Eclipse dragon, so don’t let the chance to get one slip!
Hey Furiina, I just looked on the Internet and it said that there was going to be a luner eclipse on November 28 (YEY) so I hope there is a luner eclipse dragon and your right, I hope it does look better than this one.
There is an Eclipse dragon. I have one incubating and another breeding. Combo is sun on left & equinox on right both lvl 10
I bred solar eclipse dragon with firework (lvl 15) on left + earth (lvl 15)on right.
I finally just obtained this dragon. The odd thing is how I got it.
I’ve been trying Blazing and Bone as well as Blazing and Obsidian for a while, but the minute I tried Firework and Obsidian, I got it. Both Level 15, in the cave of all things.
I think this proves a slight misconception in obtaining this dragon. Originally, I thought it absolutely had to be Blazing and an Earth/Earth hybrid dragon. Yes, Firework uses the exact same elements as Blazing, but they are NOT the same dragon. In other words, it’s not a one-sided thing like the gemstone dragons (I.e. that there can only be one combination). My theory is that the dragon simply requires Air, Earth, and Fire in the combination, but I have yet to see it confirmed.
Oh, and @ Silver wolf: Thanks for the info. I had absolutely no idea about an upcoming lunar eclipse.
